In this direction, our research focuses on the effective utilization of renewable biomass and low-grade mineral resources, as well as the environmental pollution-control technology during the process of pollutant degradation and high-value transformation. Taking different microorganisms as objects, we study the regulatory mechanism of cellulose in biosynthesis and metabolism, generate strains with high cellulase production titer, and formulate complex enzyme systems in vitro or in vivo. These high-efficient biomass-utilization systems including microorganisms and enzymes, will not only produce the emerging fuels, feed and chemical products, but also solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by agricultural wastes through fermentation using biomass waste.
